Fuck science. Atman won't be using this. I have to find out more of what this machine can do. It's as much as mine after all, mine and Volta's. We're a team now. That makes it ours, which makes it mine.
I might be powerless – either that or too destructive to be of any use. But if I can work out what this Transient Device does that might be useful...
It might help to think about it with it accelerating my circuitry. Seeing all possibilities almost at once certainly helps for problem solving. So what if it kills me, fries me, or renders me a soulless monstrosity. Maybe worse. Who cares? It's a calculated risk.

_{This is for the dA fanart contest, a picture of *karaii's inimitable Fakquir. He's the son of an ice dragoness, familiar to the powerful (and frustrating) young witch Inedia, and generally an interesting fellow! And he was once a gladiator, so you can't go far wrong with that.

I stubbornly stuck to Fakquir's earlier dragon design since I prefer long wiggly dragons to the typical Western dragon, especially when it comes to atypical dragons with an unusual element, i.e. not fire. He doesn't look remotely like Haku, Karaii, honestly.

Anyway. This took quite a damned while, but I think I'm picking up some ideas about colour and shading-depth. The dragon form is deliberately lightly shaded as he's not actually present - hence why his face-stripe isn't black. It was, but it stood out too much and was distracting.

All anatomical borks have been noted, but feel free to point them out anyway.

P.S. Sorry all for the dodgy quality, but OpenCanvas just does that. Photoshop decided it hates my tablet and won't accept pressure sensitivity. I should use Sai but it's just habit...

This is absolutely amazing. Seriously. My jaw dropped to the floor and I've been trying not to drool all over the carpet.

You did a MARVELOUS job with Fakquir here - you got his dorky haircut just right, his facial structure, his legs and feet (his taiiil!!! <3), and his DRAGON FORM!! Dear god!!! You even got down his personality, in his body language; concerned but ultimately centered, ready to fight but still curling his tail around himself like insecurity and protectiveness all in one. BUHHH

*clings to you* The details on his dragon form also have me flailing. The amount of love that went into those scales is just staggering! And I really like how his horns curve, and he looks so cool as a more oriental-styled dragon (you make it work so well!). I can't get over how sexy he looks - those arm muscles, yum

I'm incredibly flattered still you chose Fakquir as your subject, and I'm so pleased with how this came out. Thank you so much for drawing him ;-; In your hands, he comes alive!!

THANKSSSSS. I've been trying to write a sensible reply. I swear. Like I said I'm so damn god damn fucking happy fuck that you like it, and, no, really, you are way too kind, you have given me a source of happies for the next week, I swear, arrrrgh.

And don't thank me, I picked him because I like him. In all honesty what caught my attention initially was his amusingly strong resemblance to one of my own pet characters (and having the same mixture of calm and ferocious at turns, to boot, as in recognisably demi-human, both sapient and beast-like), and then I grew to love him on his own grounds - and Inedia as well, if not quite so much. One can't explain liking people or characters after all...}
